About Us

We are Carolina and Jonathan, owners and founders of Kuyay Chocolates. Our farm, located in Bagua Grande, Amazonas, has been producing fine-flavor cacao for more than 80 years. Since 2016, we have been crafting our own chocolate bars, which have earned multiple international awards.

Originating from Huancayo – Junín, it is considered a superfood and an important source of calcium, magnesium, vitamins, and fiber.

From Satipo, Junín, our Golden variety pineapple has a naturally delicious sweetness and is also healthy and nutritious.
It contains vitamins, minerals, and fiber that help support healthy digestion.

Goldenberries are grown in the Andean region. Our Physalis peruviana is a superfood, cultivated in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and is considered one of the top five foods produced in Peru.

In Maras, Cusco, salt has been extracted since Inca times. It is an essential product for human consumption and offers multiple benefits, such as supporting the body’s immune system.

A tropical fruit sourced from the city of Tambo Grande (Piura). We work with the Kent mango variety for its rich flavor and natural sweetness.

The blueberries in our chocolate bars come from Huaura and are classified as forest fruits. Together with chocolate, they offer high nutritional value and a rich content of antioxidants, making them beneficial for your health.

Our Beginnings

01 / 04

Kuyay was born from the entrepreneurial spirit of Jonathan Reyna and Carolina León—husband, wife, and business partners—and from the cacao-growing tradition of the grandparents of one of them. Together, they launched Kuyay as a chocolate brand made with native fine-flavor cacao. We started with just six chocolate bars, and today we offer more than fifteen products on the market. Kuyay is a Quechua word that means “Love and Harmony with nature.”
