We are Carolina and Jonathan, owners and founders of Kuyay Chocolates. Our farm, located in Bagua Grande, Amazonas, has been producing fine-flavor cacao for more than 80 years. Since 2016, we have been crafting our own chocolate bars, which have earned multiple international awards.
We are committed to our farm and its surroundings, as all the work we do is sustainable and organic, using technical irrigation systems to optimize water usage while caring for and respecting the area’s biodiversity.
We work transparently in our production processes and commercial management, crafting cacao-based products that are recognized in both national and international markets for their quality and certifications. We are committed to our workers and to satisfying our customers’ tastes, while bringing development to the cacao-producing communities of Bagua Grande.
Kuyay’s vision is that within five years the company will be nationally and internationally recognized as the leading brand in the production of high-quality chocolates, using native fine-flavor cacao from Bagua Grande, Amazonas, as its primary raw material.

Kuyay was born from the entrepreneurial spirit of Jonathan Reyna and Carolina León—husband, wife, and business partners—and from the cacao-growing tradition of the grandparents of one of them. Together, they launched Kuyay as a chocolate brand made with native fine-flavor cacao. We started with just six chocolate bars, and today we offer more than fifteen products on the market. Kuyay is a Quechua word that means “Love and Harmony with nature.”
